ものすごく残念な話なんだけど、今のリスナーっていわゆる文学的な比喩を含んだ歌詞とかを理解できないんだって。
好みじゃないとか流行じゃないとかでなくて、本当に意味が理解できないらしい。

例えば「汽車を待つ君の横で僕は、時計を気にしてる･･･」
なんてのが、初春の別れの日の情景を切り取ったものだということが読み取れないわけ。
「去年よりずっときれいになった」なんて言われても、それが別れとどう繋がるのすら理解できない。

だから「二人は今日でお別れだね、まだ好きなんだけどしょうがないよね、いままでありがと、でも好きだよ」とか
なんの捻りもないというか、捻りを入れない歌詞にせざるを得ないらしい。
